This morning, Bernalillo High School was placed on lockdown as a precaution due to a reported threat. Law enforcement responded immediately, and after a thorough assessment, it was determined that there was no active danger. The lockdown has now been lifted, and all students and staff are safe. Classes have resumed as normal. We appreciate the quick response of our school staff and local authorities in prioritizing the safety of our students. Thank you for your patience and support.

Cochiti Middle School seventh-grade film students recently had the exciting opportunity to attend the Student Television Network (STN) Convention, where they competed alongside 3,500 students from across the country. This annual event brought together young filmmakers eager to display their creativity, refine their skills, and engage in the energy of a national competition. With a wide range of activities and challenges, the convention allowed students to test their abilities in real-world scenarios, pushing them to think critically and creatively in a fast-paced environment. For many, it was an unforgettable experience to collaborate with like-minded peers who share the same passion for filmmaking. Beyond the competition, the convention also provided invaluable learning experiences, where students were able to attend workshops, listen to industry experts, and gain insights into the professional world of filmmaking. It was a chance for these budding filmmakers to gain new perspectives, receive constructive feedback, and elevate their craft. This inspiring event encouraged students to push their boundaries, connect with others, and take their talents to new heights, all while fueling their passion for filmmaking. The experience was truly transformative, leaving the students motivated and excited about the future of their creative journeys.
