The PSAT exam will be administered October 14, 2009 at 8:30am in the BHS Gym. The PSAT lets you get ready for the SAT, enter National Merit Scholarship Corporation competitions for recognition and scholarships, access personalized college and career planning resources in My College QuickStartTM , request information from colleges and universities, assess your critical reading, mathematical reasoning, and writing skills, and get specific suggestions on how to improve your academic skills. Click on the red bolded test name for additional information. Sophomores (class of 2012) are required to take the exam and there is no fee for sophomores. Juniors wishing to take the exam may sign-up in the counseling office. There is a $13.00 fee for juniors.
The ASVAB Career Exploration Test will be administered September 23, 2009 at 8:30 am in the BHS Media Center. The ASVAB Career Exploration program is a comprehensive career exploration and planning program that includes a multiple aptitude test battery, an interest inventory, and various career planning tools designed to help students explore the world of work. It is highly recommended for students who have not yet developed career goals. There is no cost for taking the exam. Click on the red bolded test name for additional information.
