College is Possible   - a site sponsored by the American Council on Education; has a "Paying for College" overview of financial aid program

CollegeNet.com - assists students in finding colleges, scholarships and financial aid, touring campuses virtually, and completing applications online   

College Opportunities Online Locator (COOL) - a consumer information tool for students, parents, counselors, and others interested in postsecondary education in the US. The site allows users to see and compare profiles of nearly 7,000 colleges and universities throughout the nation. Users can search by location, program or major, and a variety of institutional characteristics to identify institutions that fit their preferences. Go to http://collegesearch.nces.ed.gov .

CommonApp.org - a not-for-profit organization that serves students and member institutions by providing an admission application - online and in print - that students may submit to any of 300 member schools.
