Q |
How do I (my student) request a change of class schedule? |
 |
A |
*NO* schedule changes will be made unless there is an ERROR on your schedule print-out (empty period with no class scheduled, duplicate class, class already completed & passed).
All class schedule change requests must be submitted to your (your student's) guidance counselor.
Please note that the guidance counselors take great time and care to create each student's schedule based upon review of the student's updated transcript and credit analysis.
As such, the classes scheduled are comprised of the core requirement courses, as well as elective courses, the student needs in order to graduate.
Core requirement courses are prioritized and elective courses requested are honored as best as possible for the student's first, second, or third elective choice(s). Course requests are *not* guaranteed.
Class Schedule Changes:
After the first week of each semester, *no* schedule changes will be made without prior approval by Principal Montano.
If approved by Mr. Montano, the student must meet with his/her guidance counselor to evaluate if the schedule change is possible and to obtain a Schedule Change Form.
The student must obtain the required signatures of teachers, parent(s), Principal Montano, and his/her guidance counselor and return the form to his/her guidance counselor. This form includes the current grades within each of the classes involved.
No schedule changes will be made without a completed and signed Schedule Change Form. |
